England's new white-ball skipper Harry Brook will have been heartened by his side's 3-0 ODI clean sweep of the West Indies.

The challenge for Brook is to build on the promise of those victories in three T20Is against the Windies, starting with Friday's opener at The Riverside in Chester-le-Street.

England vs West Indies Prediction

Best Bet: Jos Buttler top England runscorer @ 10/3

It's been plain sailing for Brook as England's new limited-overs captain so far and the Yorkshireman will be intent on continuing his white-ball reset with a T20 series success over the West Indies.

Brook will have been pleased that every member of his ODI squad contributed in a 3-0 win against the Windies, including his predecessor Jos Buttler.

Buttler came in at five during the three ODIs, scoring 37, nought and a rapid 41 not out to seal the series at The Oval on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old should return to England's top three for the T20Is, though, and could build on his knock in south London at the Riverside.

Prior to joining up with Brook's squad Buttler scored 538 runs in another productive season in the IPL and is clearly in decent touch at the moment.

Matthew Ireland says:

Harry Brook and England may be looking to the future, but the ODI series win over the West Indies showed there is still room for the old guard and Jos Buttler was at his destructive best at The Oval on Tuesday, following on from another strong IPL campaign.

England vs West Indies Bet Builder Tip

  • Ben Duckett 20+ runs

  • Brydon Carse 2+ wickets

  • West Indies under 18 runs at fall of first wicket

    Pays 19/2

With opener Phil Salt missing the series while on paternity leave, Ben Duckett is almost certain to take his place at the top of the order and could continue a strong run of form.

The diminutive left-hander scored 140 in the recent Test match against Zimbabwe, then 60, 0 and 58 in the ODI series against the Windies.

Backing Duckett to pass 20 at the Riverside looks a strong first leg of any Bet Builder and the home crowd could also be cheering on one of their own with the ball.

Brydon Carse has become a central figure of England's white-ball attack and has taken 15 wickets in eight T20 international appearances. No player on show at Chester-le-Street will know the surface at the Riverside better than Carse, who could claim a couple of Windies wickets.

And Carse could be central to the success of our final leg. The Windies openers have lost their first wicket for 8, 6 and 20 and they are yet to settle on who goes out to bat first. There is every chance England could strike early in Durham.

Matthew Ireland adds:

This Bet Builder hinges on England's expected dominance and Ben Duckett could lead from the front with the bat. Brydon Carse is becoming a fixture in the England set-up and will be backed by a vocal home crowd, meaning the paceman could give the Windies batters a tough time.

Form and Team News

Fresh from helping the Royal Challengers Bengaluru win their maiden IPL title, Salt was due to be involved but will now miss the series due to paternity leave.

All-rounders Rehan Ahmed and Liam Dawson are spin options for skipper Brook after missing out on selection for the ODI squad.

Jason Holder and Andre Russell are in line to feature for the West Indies after being recalled to Shai Hope's squad, but Nicolas Pooran has opted out following another successful season for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.
