England v Scotland team news

England team news

Jofra Archer is expected to lead England’s bowling line-up and could be joined by Mark Wood, in what would be an express-pace attack.

Phil Salt looks set to open the batting alongside captain Buttler, while the relatively inexperienced Will Jacks is likely to bat at three.

Left-arm spinner Tom Hartley is pushing for a first chance at international T20 level, but England may decide to stick with Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali as their spin options.

Scotland team news

Scotland beat England the last time they met in an one-day international, but this looks a much tougher assignment in much different conditions to those in Edinburgh back in 2018.

Sussex bowler Brad Currie could be key to their chances, with the 25-year-old having had plenty of T20 Blast experience.

His younger brother, Scott Currie, is currently on loan at Leicestershire after spending the last three years at Hampshire.
