England captain Jos Buttler would have missed the third match while attending the birth of his third child, with Moeen Ali taking over as skipper. It has not yet been confirmed if Buttler is available for this game. Mark Wood is yet to feature in the series due to a knee injury. Jofra Archer was set to miss the Cardiff match to manage his workload but could be back for the finale.
Pakistan have no major injury concerns and may well field their strongest available side due to the lack of match practice for their stars so far in the series. Even so, rain is again a threat to this fixture.
