England have it all to do in their five-match one-day international series against Australia after subsiding to a 68-run defeat at Headingley on Saturday.

The series moves to the Riverside at Chester-le-Street on Tuesday with England 2-0 down and knowing that another defeat will hand the Aussies a series success with two games to spare.

England v Australia third ODI team news

England team news

Jofra Archer didn't play at Headingley, as England seek to manage his workload following a string of injuries, but he could return to their XI on Tuesday.

Fellow seamers Saqib Mahmood and Reece Topley and top-order batter Jordan Cox played in the recent T20 series between the sides, but have yet to feature at Trent Bridge or Headingley.

All could come into contention should England opt to freshen their team up at the Riverside.

Australia team news

All-rounder Cameron Green made way for Glenn Maxwell at Headingley and conditions at the Riverside may dictate who gets the nod on Tuesday.

Matt Short opened alongside Travis Head in Leeds after captain Mitchell Marsh had taken that role in the first ODI.

Youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk or wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis played in the T20I leg of the Aussies' limited-overs tour and are other options at the top of the order.
