It has been an eventful build-up to the ICC Champions Trophy for India but they will hope their cricket can do the talking in their opener against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
While the rest of this year's tournament will take place in Pakistan, political tensions between the countries mean any matches involving India will take place in the UAE.
The first of those matches will be against Bangladesh in Group A and the Tigers could be up against it given they are ranked ninth in the world ODI rankings and are playing in an eight-team tournament.
Shubman Gill top India runscorer - 3/1
India will be able to lean on the old guard of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli at the ICC Champions Trophy but all eyes will be on superstar Shubman Gill, who is considered the future of Indian cricket.
Gill is yet to make his mark in Test cricket but he is a serious force in ODIs.
The 25-year-old averages 60.16 in ODIs, having reached 50 matches in the format, and he was at his devastating best in the warm-up series with England.
In the 3-0 series whitewash, Gill was influential for India, firing 87, 60 and 112, and he is a solid pick at 3/1 to be his team's top runscorer.
The last time that India and Bangladesh squared up in ODIs, Gill managed 53 in Pune and he looks primed to start the tournament with a bang.
Taskin Ahmed to take two or more wickets - 6/5
This year's ICC Champions Trophy will be somewhat unusual for Bangladesh given that they will be without Shakib Al Hasan - the first time they have had to do without the all-rounder in an ICC event since 2006.
Al Hasan is banned from bowling in internationals after he was reported for throwing in the County Championship and Bangladesh were not willing to take him to the tournament as a batsman alone.
As a result, someone else will need to step up to the plate with the ball and Taskin Ahmed could fit the bill.
Ahmed has collected 109 wickets in his 77 ODIs for Bangladesh but it is the form he showed in the Bangladesh Premier League which really catches the eye.
In the country's T20 franchise competition, Ahmed was in excellent form with 25 wickets and he can take at least two against India.
Varun Chakravarthy top India wicket-taker - 10/3
In the build up to this year's Champions Trophy, India were rocked by the news that star bowler Jasprit Bumrah will miss out with a lower back injury.
But the paceman's absence just means there will be more emphasis on the plethora of spinners India have at their disposal and Varun Chakravarthy could in for a great tournament.
Chakravarthy is a novice when it comes to ODIs, having only made his debut in the format earlier this month, but he was dazzling in the recent T20 series with England, claiming 14 wickets in five matches.
There is plenty of competition to be top India wicket-taker but Mohammad Shami has been inconsistent of late and Chakravarthy is the value pick of the spinners set to feature.
