Australia v Bangladesh Prediction, Tips and Odds: Adam Zampa can spin Aussies to victory in 10/3 shout

Former champions Australia have not put a foot wrong on their way to the Super 8s and are strongly fancied to make it five wins out of five by seeing off Bangladesh in Antigua.

The Aussies topped their group with a 100 per cent record to give them plenty of confidence as they prepare to take on a Bangladesh side, who qualified as runners-up behind South Africa.

It's the first of a trio of spin examinations for the Aussies - India and Afghanistan make up the group - though at odds of 1/7 it's an examination they are expected to pass.

Australia v Bangladesh betting tips and predictions

Adam Zampa - Australia Top Bowler - 10/3

Bangladesh poster boy Rishad Hossain, veteran Shakib Al Hasan and all-rounder Mahmudullah will be the three spinners hoping to tie the free-scoring Aussies up in knots at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium.

But don't be surprised if Australia's very own spin king, Adam Zampa, has just as big a part to play in proceedings and could turn into the match-winner.

The Aussies and Bangladesh have met outside Bangladesh four times in T20 cricket and Australia have won the lot.

Last time they met, in Dubai in 2021, Bangladesh were skittled for a woeful 73 - and Zampa took five wickets.

It would be lazy to say Bangladesh are a better team now than they were back at that World Cup in the desert because they certainly didn't look much cop in the months before heading out to the US and Caribbean for this tournament.

They've certainly gelled at this tournament by beating Sri Lanka and then taking South Africa to the final ball of yet another miserable low-scorer at East Meadow outside New York.

But Zampa is also having a fabulous competition with nine wickets in four matches, taking at least two in three of them including a best of four-for-12 against Namibia.

He has a hugely impressive economy rate of under six and in the Caribbean, where spinners are potentially going to be more influential than pacemen, he looks a decent price at 10/3 to be top Australia wicket-taker.

Glenn Maxwell - Player Performance Over 33.5 - 5/6

The explosive Glenn Maxwell is going to be a key figure with bat and ball as Australia march on in this tournament.

Spin is going to be a factor at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium and Maxwell's off breaks will come in handy.

He has taken 42 wickets in T20 cricket and can add to that haul over the next few days.

It's with the bat, of course, that Maxwell excels and although he has had limited time in the middle so far he did contribute 28 in the win over England.

Considering he hasn't had much time out in the middle it's worth noting that his last three player performance make-ups have been 38, 40 and 51, good enough to suggest his player performance for the game against Bangladesh can exceed 33.5.

Shakib Al Hasan - Over 1.5 Fours - 5/6

Shakib Al Hasan, like all the Bangladesh batters, has been able to free his arms since they moved from the US after two matches to play their last two in Kingstown.

And they will enjoy a far truer surface at North Sound than they had to endure in their first two games in Dallas and New York.

He batted beautifully for 64 in the win over Netherlands and then chipped in with 17 in the win over Nepal.

He clobbered nine fours against the Dutch, another couple against the Nepalese, and, while the Aussie attack is a sight better than either of those two, Shakib is still worth betting at 5/6 to hit over 1.5 fours.
