Rob Tebbutt looks ahead to Saturday night's domestic light-heavyweight showdown between Craig Richards and Padraig McCrory, highlighting where he feels the betting value can be found in a bout that could possess career ending ramifications for the loser.
Craig Richards and Padraig McCrory square off in Belfast on Saturday night, in a cross-roads fight between two light-heavyweights who need a win.
Richards was disappointing in a lopsided decision loss to Willy Hutchinson last year, while McCrory was bombed out by Edgar Berlanga in his step-up to world level.
This fight may well come down to who has the most left in the tank at this stage of their careers.
With both men in their mid-30s, another loss could spell the end of their time competing near the top of the sport.
I do feel that Richards is the more well-rounded fighter and is the rightful favourite.
As poor as he was against Hutchinson, I feel he has consistently mixed at a higher level than McCrory and should emerge victorious on Saturday night.
