Coventry City are pursuing a deal to sign Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis from Turkish side Göztepe.
Dennis has spent the last four seasons in Turkey and he has made 68 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
The Nigerian midfielder has caught the attention of numerous clubs throughout Europe following a number of impressive performances in the Turkish Super Lig.
The likes of RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin and FSV Mainz have all been mentioned as potential destinations for Dennis this summer.
However, Footy Africa have reported that Coventry have held positive discussions about signing the player.
The Sky Blues have emerged as the frontrunners to sign the 22-year-old and it is believed that an €8m fee would be enough to secure his signature.
The Nigerian's contract expires next summer and Göztepe could cash in on the player if they receive the right deal.
Coventry have already completed the signing of midfielder Frank Onyeka from Brentford following a successful loan spell in the second-half of last season.
Manager Frank Lampard is looking to increase his options further and the potential signing of Dennis would add even more depth.
