Coventry City have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Aurèle Amenda.
The towering 22-year-old centre-back has impressed in the Bundesliga over the last two seasons.
He has made 42 appearances for Frankfurt after arriving from Swiss side Young Boys in 2024.
Amenda is currently part of Switzerland's squad at the 2026 World Cup and he has already appeared seven times for his country.
Sky Germany have reported that a deal to join Coventry is now reaching a conclusion.
The deal is expected to be worth up to £17.2million and he is set to put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
It is believed that Frank Lampard himself has pushed for the signing as Coventry prepare for top-flight football.
The Sky Blues were magnificent as they won the Championship title last season and they are looking to add quality to their squad all over the pitch.
Lampard currently has the likes of Bobby Thomas, Liam Kitching and Luke Woolfenden available as centre-back options.
The imminent arrival of Amenda will add both robustness and athleticism to an otherwise inexperienced backline at the top level.
