Coventry City are reportedly pursuing a deal to sign former Watford winger Matheus Martins from Brazilian side Botafogo.
The Sky Blues have been linked with various players as they prepare for top-flight football for the first time in 25 years.
Frank Lampard's side have been installed as one of the Premier League relegation favourites alongside follow promoted clubs Ipswich Town and Hull City.
Whilst the likes of Matt Grimes and Haji Wright look ready to step up to the next level, Coventry will be looking to add quality all over the pitch as they look to thrive next season.
Brazilian news outlet RTI Esporte have reported that Coventry are looking to advance talks with Botafogo for the transfer of Martins this summer.
The reports suggest that an offer has been for Martins as the Brazilian side contemplate a potential sale.
Martins is believed to cost in the region of £7 million, which could be a bargain given that he is still only 22 years of age.
Two separate loan spells with Watford in the Championship saw Martins make 49 appeances for the club, whilst he also chipped in with six goals.
He then secured a permanent move from Udinese to Botafogo and he has featured 30 times for the club in 2026.
Real Betis and Celta Vigo are also believed to be interested in the winger who can play in a number of positions.
He is most used to playing on the left-wing where he could provide competition for Ephron Mason-Clark, but he is also capable of playing on the right or in a number 10 position.
