County Championship Division One odds

Surrey go in search of a fourth successive Division One title in 2025 after fending off a late charge from Somerset to reclaim their crown last year.

Having already etched their name into County Championship immortality, a Surrey team basking in star talent will be aiming to replicate their side of the 1950s by winning four in a row.

Somerset were in contention for an elusive treble last year as they reached the Vitality Blast final and One-Day Cup final, but ultimately come up short in all three competitions. Still yet to claim a County Championship success in their 150-year history, they will be looking to maintain their strong trajectory this season.

Essex are another side in contention after finishing fourth last term, while Hampshire will be hoping the additions of Sonny Baker and Kyle Abbott will help them over the line.

Yorkshire are also back in Division One after winning promotion alongside Sussex in 2024.

County Championship Division Two odds

Lancashire were relegated from Division One with a whimper last term but they will be looking to seal an immediate return to the top-flight, as they had done following their previous demotion in 2018.

The Red Rose went unbeaten in the 2019 season, although repeating that achievement appears a considerably tougher assignment this time out with Kent, Middlesex and Northants all in the running to win promotion.

Kent were relegated in 2024 with just one win and eight defeats, prompting Matt Walker's departure and the Canterbury club have turned to Adam Hollioake as their new head coach.

Middlesex missed out on promotion last season by virtue of an inferior amount of batting and bowling points, while Northamptonshire will be seeking a Division One return for the first time since 2023.
