Millions of music fans from across Europe and Australia will be tuning in to see their nation's act at the upcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
Representatives of the likes of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and reigning champions Austria will soon be taking to the stage at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, however there will be several high-profile nations absent.
Due to political reasons, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Iceland and Slovenia have opted to withdraw from this year's competition, following on from Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Slovakia, who confirmed their non-participation last year.
Canada and Kazakhstan had expressed an interest in debuting at Eurovision this year, although the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) confirmed that the two nations would have to wait until at least 2027 to make their bows.
