Experienced League of Legends support player Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in returned to the Team Liquid roster in week three of the LCS Spring Split but has heaped praise on Academy talent Bill "Eyla" Nguyen, who played in his absence.
In their next match in the LCS Spring Split, Team Liquid can be backed at 1/4 to beat Golden Guardians, who are 11/4 to come out on top.
Support talent "CoreJJ" had been absent from the early stages of the Spring Split while waiting to acquire his green card.
But week three of the Split saw his return and Liquid deploy their first-choice starting roster for the first time this season.
And he impressed from the start with 85.7% kill participation in his first match back for Liquid, who now sit top of the standings with a 5-1 win-loss record.
But while "CoreJJ" had been unable to play, his roster spot was taken up by Liquid Academy player "Eyla", who gave a great account of himself.
And Liquid's back-up support option, who won an MVP award for his work in his debut OPL season back in 2019, has been hailed by "CoreJJ" himself as one of the best support players in the entire regional division.
Speaking to LCS broadcaster Gabriella "LeTigress" Devia-Allen after his return to action, "CoreJJ" said: "I feel like there is no better support than Eyla in the LCS.
"I don't know, I'm glad that I can play here but I'm sad that I can't play against potentially the second-best support player in the LCS."
