Premier League Player of the Season nominees

Mohamed Salah heads the list of eight nominees for Premier League Player of the Season.

Enjoying arguably his greatest season in a Liverpool shirt, Salah is expected to pick up a clean sweep of Premier League Player of the Season and PFA Player of the Year to go alongside the FWA Footballer of the Year he collected on 9th May.

Salah leads the league in goals scored and assists, though is still two assists short of the record shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

Reds team-mate Ryan Gravenberch also finds himself on the list, making him the only player nominated for the Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season award.

Finding himself in a new holding midfield role under Arne Slot, the Dutchman has been crucial to Liverpool's title charge.

Virgil van Dijk is the third Liverpool player to be nominated after another excellent campaign which has seen him rewarded with a new contract.

Nottingham Forest find themselves with two nominees after their remarkable season which will see them play European football next season, with a spot in the UEFA Champions League still up for grabs.

Morgan Gibbs-White has enjoyed another superb season at the City Ground following his move from Wolves in 2022, registering 14 goal contributions, while Chris Wood, now 33 years of age, goes from strength to strength.

The New Zealander has scored 20 goals this term, an improvement on the impressing 14 he netted last season.

Bryan Mbuemo earns a first nomination after a standout season with Brentford. The Cameroon international has matched the goal tallies from his last two seasons combined, finding the net 18 times.

Declan Rice is the final man on the list after another strong season at the Emirates with Arsenal.
