Conor Benn has revealed that a rematch with Chris Eubank Jr is all but done, quelling speculation that he is set to make a return to the 147lbs division in a bid to capture a world title.
The Matchroom fighter and his team said they would bide their time in making a decision over Benn's next move, with promoter Eddie Hearn even suggesting a re-run with Eubank Jr could affect the longevity of the 28-year-old's career.
Speculation has been mounting in recent days that a showdown with Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney could be in the pipeline for him, whilst WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios has also been mooted as a potential opponent.
However, it appears as though a decision has now been made, with Benn telling DAZN's Ariel & Ade Show that a contract has been signed for a September rematch.
"As far as I’m aware, the contracts have already been signed," he revealed on Wednesday.
I’m hearing September at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, or Wembley Stadium maybe - the reality is I am ready to go again now, August or September, whenever it may be.

"For me, it has to be Eubank Jr next; if it isn't then that chapter is closed, and I don't want that to be the case - I want my shot at redemption."
The British rivals locked-horns in a colossal all-action war last month, with Eubank Jr securing a slightly contentious unanimous decision success with all three ring side judges scoring the bout 116-112 in his favour.
Despite the defeat however, Benn, who jumped up two weight classes to tackle his foe, says the love and warmth he has received from fight fans, both at home and abroad, in the aftermath of the gruelling encounter has helped heal his wounds.
"Yeah, it's a hard one because losing is not a nice feeling, and I do everything I can to not lose," he enthused. "But the amount of love I have been show has been incredible - I have probably never been shown this amount of love or admiration in my career.
"It's a surreal feeling and something I am struggling to get used to because I am just a fighter - I am just so happy I could give the fight fans so much entertainment,.
"I want people to feel like they have to tune into my fights because they know it's going to be entertaining - I'd rather lose an exciting fight than win a boring fan, I truly would!"
It's understood that the same rehydration and weight clauses are included in the contract for Eubank Jr v Benn 2.
