Confirmed runners and riders for the Epsom Derby

A packed field of 19 runners have been confirmed for Saturday's eagerly-anticipated Epsom Derby.

Delacroix v The Lion In Winter is a dilemma that will have been playing on the mind of Ryan Moore for some time now but the superstar pilot has come down on the side of the former.

Following success in the Leopardstown Derby Trial - Delacroix is favourite for the Epsom showpiece.

The choice, in the end, may have been straightforward after The Lion In Winter failed to win the Dante Stakes in May.

Pride Of Arras was too good on the day he will take his chance here under champion jockey Rossa Ryan.

Charlie Appleby-trained Ruling Court arrives here off the back of Classic success in the 2000 Guineas and victory at Epsom will give him a chance to land the English Triple Crown - a feat that hasn't been accomplished since Nijinsky 55 years ago.

Such is the esteem of the prize on offer, the race has again attracted international runners.

Midak, trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and New Ground, trained by Henri-François Devin, will make their way over the English channel from France.
