Confirmed runners and riders for the 2000 Guineas

A total of 11 runners have been confirmed for the first British Classic of the season as the Group 1 2000 Guineas tops the bill at Newmarket Racecourse on Saturday afternoon.

William Buick will ride Ruling Court rather than Dewhurst winner Shadow Of Light, who will have Mickael Barzalona on board in the absence of the injured James Doyle.

Twain, Camille Pissarro, Henri Matisse and Serengeti have all not been declared for Aidan O'Brien, leaving Expanded as the sole Ballydoyle participant.

bet365 Craven Stakes winner Field Of Gold will run and will sport the silks of the late Khalid Bin Abdullah, as John and Thady Gosden search for their first win in the race.

Other runners include the likes of Wimbledon Hawkeye, runner-up in the bet365 Craven, and Seagulls Eleven, who is owned by a syndicate of Brighton and Hove Albion footballers.
