We take a look at the odds for the Community Shield between Manchester United and Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday 10th August.

The odds are much closer than they were for the FA Cup final three months ago when Manchester United pulled off an almighty upset - going off at a similar price to Wigan when they beat Roberto Mancini's Manchester City to give an idea of how big an upset it was, but City are justifiably clear favourites at 1/3 to lift the trophy.
United needed reinforcements in a number of positions over the summer and have somehow ended up with fewer centre-backs than they ended the season with. To make matters worse, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are injury doubts, and while City were miles below their usual level, it's hard to see a repeat performance from either side.
Pep Guardiola has been bolstered by the arrival of Savio, and has had no departures beyond the impending Julian Alvarez to contend with, and with a summer's rest - for his non-internationals, at least - they should be better prepared than they were for the FA Cup final.
Erling Haaland has experienced mixed results when facing United. In six games against the Red Devils, the Norwegian has scored one, two and three goals, but blanked in the other three, including both Wembley affairs. Unsurprisingly, though, Haaland is favourite to find the net on Saturday at 5/6.
One of the expected summer exits from Old Trafford was Casemiro, with the midfielder no longer looking like he has the mobility to be a reliable member of Manchester United's midfield, but the Brazilian remains at the club, and having picked up roughly 0.30 yellow cards per 90 in each of his two seasons in Manchester, is favourite to find the referee's notebook at Wembley, priced at 13/8.
