Nestor Lorenzo’s exciting and energetic side have established themselves as one of the true South American football powerhouses over the past couple of years, and many will feel their current 7/1 outright winner price is a tad inflated.
They are rightly regarded as one of the favourites to go the distance at this year's staging of the Copa America, and the expectation is that they will make relatively light work of a Panama side who, let's not forget, have already helped dispatch of co-hosts United States this summer.
But whilst they came through the group stages unscathed, they now find themselves on an incredibly tough side of the draw alongside the likes of Colombia, who are unbeaten since February 2022, Uruguay and Brazil.
At 10/1, ousting Colombia and progressing through to the last four of the competition looks an incredibly tall order for the South American minnows, but there may be some value in the 17/4 on offer for the tournament outsiders to take the tie to penalties.
However, that said, Colombia have won five of their last six matches, with only Brazil managing to hold them to a draw in their final Group D encounter; a result that secured Lorenzo's troops - who are unbeaten in 26 matches - top spot.
Across their last six encounters, Colombia have led at half-time and gone on to win the match on five occasions, and they have been priced at an appealing 21/20 to do likewise in Glendale, Arizona, this weekend.
Surprisingly, Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz is Los Cafeteros current leading scorer at the tournament, on two goals, and he can be backed at 13/2 to score anytime against Panama.
Former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich attacker James Rodriguez has been a far more familiar goalscorer for his country over the years though, and with the current Sao Paulo star set to make a return from injury on Saturday evening, you may fancy the 5/1 price on the 32-year-old opening the scoring.
