With Southampton relegated to the Championship, skipper James Ward-Prowse could be on the move this summer.
Since making his debut for the club back in 2011, James Ward-Prowse has gone on to make over 300 appearances for Southampton, developing into an integral figure for the Saints who have spent the last 10 years in the Premier League.
Southampton's stay in the top-flight has come to an end, however, with the Saints finishing bottom of the Premier League table after a torrid campaign.
Despite the struggles of the south coast club this term, Ward-Prowse has continued to be a shining light in midfield, registering nine goals and three assists in all competitions this term.
Renowned for his phenomenal free-kick taking ability, remarkably just one short of David Beckham's Premier League record total of 19 direct free-kicks scored, Ward-Prowse's quality would undoubtedly be welcome at a number of top-flight clubs.
Champions League-chasing Newcastle United are currently priced as 5/2 favourites to be Ward-Prowse's next club on 3rd September 2023, with Eddie Howe seeking to take his squad to the next level this summer as they prepare to enter the Champions League.
Spurs (11/2) are another club who will be aiming to secure a European place at the end of this season, with Ward-Prowse perhaps an ideal signing to help add some much needed creativity to their midfield.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Unai Emery's high-flying Aston Villa are 10/1 to bring in Ward-Prowse this summer, with West Ham priced at 11/2 as the Irons brace themselves for inevitable interest in Declan Rice this summer.
As an academy graduate and club captain, Ward-Prowse could yet be persuaded to stay at the Saints and help guide them back to the Premier League next season, with Southampton remaining 7/2 second-favourites to be Ward-Prowse's club on 3rd September.

Capped 11 times by England, 28-year-old Ward-Prowse may feel a drop down in level to the Championship may hinder his ambitions with the national team, with the next international tournament in the form of next summer's Euros now on the horizon.
The midfielder is contracted at Southampton until the summer of 2026, and a sizeable transfer offer is likely required in order to prise him away from St Mary's.
A transfer for Ward-Prowse may end up suiting all parties, though, with the player able to continue his Premier League career and Southampton supplied with substantial funds to aid their rebuild in the Championship.
