City of York Stakes Odds: Audience favourite in field of eight

Here are the latest odds for the Group 2 City of York Stakes, taking place at York Racecourse on Saturday 24th August.

Audience was second behind Kinross in last year's renewal but he is favourite to reverse that result on the final day of the Ebor Festival this time around.

The John & Thady Gosden-trained five-year-old began his season with a sensational victory in the Lockinge at Newbury, winning at odds of 22/1.

After finishing fifth in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, Audience then produced another excellent display to win the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last time out.

Kinross hasn't tasted victory in the five races since last year's City of York Stakes but was a close second in the Prix de la Foret and the British Champions Sprint at the end of last season, before finishing third to Audience at Goodwood this year.

Commonwealth Cup runner-up Lake Forest also features prominently in the betting along with Shouldvebeenaring, who was a Group 3 winner in France last month.
