We analyse the statistics and credentials of Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn as the long-term rivals get set to lock-horns in a blockbuster domestic showdown in London on Saturday 26th April, 2025.
Regardless of what we think, Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn is happening.
It will sell out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26th, it will be a huge British boxing event that crosses over to the mainstream and it will bring a lot of attention to the sport for better or for worse.
But in here we strip everything back to look at who can win the fight and what will set both men apart on the night.
With all that said let’s take a look at the 'Tale of the Tape'.

Chris Eubank Jr will walk to the ring in front of 60,000 people at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the betting favourite to beat Conor Benn but also the bigger man and the more experienced man. To sum it up he has a lot to lose.
Eubank’s confident strut will look like a man with not a worry in the world but should he lose to Benn his career could be over. Benn, however, has never faced a fighter like Eubank before in a professional ring and has nowhere near the experience.
When the first bell rings it may resemble the matador vs the bull with Benn possibly charging out looking to unsettle and worry the man seven years older than him. Eubank will be expecting the unexpected but knows if he can keep the snarling Benn at the end of his jab he could begin to pick the Londoner off down the stretch.
Eubank must win but arguably bigger than that this will give him the opportunity to shake off the lingering shadow of his father which has been a topic of conversation during the build-up.
It will be an emotionally charged night where fireworks seem guaranteed but the poise and confidence of Eubank could eliminate Benn’s spark and prove once again that a good big guy always beats a good little guy.
Strengths | Weaknesses |
Supreme confidence | Prone to recklessness |
Chin | Defence |
Ruthless finisher | Showboating |
Wicked combinations | Gets caught in between styles |
How this fight begins and ends could come down to Benn’s reaction when he sees the man who slapped his face with an egg and threatened his father Nigel at a recent press conference.
Benn is chomping at the bit to get his hands on Eubank but the wise and calming influence of trainer Tony Sims may well be the difference between defeat and victory. Benn is quicker, younger and the more explosive of the two fighters but a lack of discipline may turn him into a tearaway on the night.
As Eubank will look to shake off his father’s shadow, Benn will need to show everyone that he has what it takes to compete at world level. None of his previous wins are the proof that we need.
His doping scandal wrecked his world and threatened to destroy it but at the end of it all he stayed standing despite everything thrown at him and that may play a factor on April 26. If Benn can take Eubank’s biggest shot and remain on his feet then his aggression and volume could overwhelm Eubank and turn into a stunning victory for ‘The Destroyer’.
