Make no mistake about it, despite his age, Chris Eubank Jr remains a major pull in boxing - and it appears he has a plethora of big name opponents waiting in the wings to fight him.

Long-time foe Conor Benn appears the most likely opposition in the new year, but there has been plenty of talk suggesting that blockbuster fights with either of Terence Crawford or Canelo Alvarez could be on the horizon.

Eubank Jr dropped his last opponent Kamil Szeremeta four times en-route to a resounding stoppage success last time out, prompting immediate talk of who 'Next Gen' will be facing off against next.

We take a look at the probability of who that will be.

Here's everything you need to know about Chris Eubank Jr's potential next fight...

Chris Eubank Jr's next fight opponent

Who is Chris Eubank Jr fighting next?

A mammoth domestic dust-up with Conor Benn seems by far the most likely option, especially given the fact that two undertook yet another fierce face-off in Saudi Arabia following Chris Eubank Jr's last fight.

Benn, son of former world champion Nigel Benn, stormed the ring to confront Eubank Jr immediately after his TKO victory over Szeremeta, with football superstar Neymar Jr then bizarrely taking to the ring in an attempt to add further intrigue to the bout.

The two fighters were scheduled to meet back in 2022, but the fight was cancelled after news broke that Benn had tested positive for a banned substance, just days before the 'catchweight' fight was set to take place.

However, both camps have now confirmed that talks have resumed for a colossal showdown in 2025, suggesting that it will be Conor Benn who Eubank Jr will share the ring with next.

Prior to Eubank Jr's middleweight contest with Kamil Szeremeta, deals had been offered to his team for world title opportunities against pound-for-pound superstars Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez, although it's believed the British fighter spurned their advances, citing the financial deals offered to him as 'paltry'.

With those fights likely to have now past Eubank Jr by, other domestic options could lie in either Hamzah Sheeraz or former dance partner Billy Joe Saunders.

Eubank Jr and Saunders have held a long-term dislike for each other, stretching back to their first fight over a decade ago, one in which Saunders prevailed in on the judges' scorecards.

The two have been at each others throats since then, and it does seem only a matter of time until the two reacquaint themselves inside the ring. You sense that this one could remain on the backburner for a little while yet, however.

Queensberry star Sheeraz is the wildcard option here given his sensational rise up the 160lbs rankings over the past 12 months, but still, it's a fight that Frank Warren, and perhaps the British public, would love to see.

The tall, imposing and powerful Sheeraz is regarded as one of the sport's most promising young talents, and is expected to become world champion in the new year.

Warren has confirmed that Eubank Jr has already turned down the chance to fight his man though, which likely rules this fight out.

Chris Eubank Jr's next fight date

When is Chris Eubank Jr fighting?

Given the fact that Chris Eubank Jr has only recently fought - on Saturday 12th October - it will now be in 2025 that the current IBO world champion will next be in action.

A late winter / early spring date appears the most likely, although that could hinge on the severity of the cut he received during an accidental clash of heads with Kamil Szeremta.

A February or March date with Conor Benn, at the time of writing, seems the most likely option for the Brighton & Hove fighter.
