Chris Eubank Jr has picked out three fighters he'd love to face in his upcoming bouts and a showdown with long-time rival Billy Joe Saunders is high on the agenda.
Following an enthralling battle which has already been earmarked as a Fight of the Year contender, Eubank Jr has been basking in the glory of his unanimous victory over Conor Benn in a continuation of their fathers' epic rivalry in the early 1990s.
A rematch clause was inserted into the contracts of both fighters and Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh has reportedly booked a date in September at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the second fight in consideration.
Eubank Jr is fully aware of the immense public interest in a potential reunion with Benn in the ring and the 35-year-old would like to capitalise as he carefully plots the next stages of his career.
Speaking to Stephen Bartlett on the Diary Of A CEO podcast, Eubank said: “I feel like the demand for this Conor Benn fight is at an all-time high right now so I feel like that would be the fight to make next.
Then you have Canelo. That is a fight that I’ve been wanting for years and I would love to share the ring with that man. And then we could throw Saunders in at the end.
Eubank's feud with Saunders is well-documented.
Saunders famously fought and beat Eubank Jr by split decision in 2014 and the former WBO super middleweight champion was a surprise guest at Eubank's bout against Benn, with Saunders attempting to enter his former foe's dressing room.
On his rivalry with Saunders, Eubank Jr stated: "Not only is he a drug cheat, but he is actually a real scummy human being.
"I don’t talk about anybody like this so if I’m saying it about him there’s a reason.
"He is a bad, bad person. A terrible advocate for the sport. Just a real low-life human.
"I would love to get my hands on him because he does have a win over me. That’s another fight that’s a possibility in the future.”
Saunders has been out of action since suffering a fractured orbital in a bruising defeat to Canelo Alvarez in 2021, but suggested he may be tempted back into the ring if a showdown with Eubank was arranged.
"I'll be honest I was in heavy talks with Eubank's manager a few weeks ago," Saunders told talkSPORT Fight Night.
"We've had it before and there's loads of water that's gone underneath the bridge. It's no secret that I don't like him on a personal note and he doesn't like me on a personal note.
"It's just how it is. We don't really get on. And I think the fans will enjoy the build-up and enjoy the fight."
