Turners Novices' Chase Placepot Tips

A belting Turners Novices' Chase so better have two onside to try and get through the first leg.

Iroko has good course form and will get this trip well in conditions for his up-and coming training combination, while Ginny's Destiny has a host of top-notch Cheltenham runs to his name this season and last time out he won the same race as Stage Star did last year en route to taking this prize.

Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle Placepot Tips

The Pertemps is as fiendish as ever but my eye was taken by Emitom's return to form last time when he outstayed in-form yardstick Kyntara at Newbury. He was fourth in the Stayers' Hurdle in 2020 so there's mileage yet in his mark of 137.

Gordon Elliott top-weights have done very well in this contest in recent years, with Sire Du Berlais winning and two others finishing second, and Farouk D'Alene ran in the top Irish trial for this in December.

Ryanair Chase Placepot Tips

Yet another tough contest as it's 4/1 the field in the Ryanair. Last year's decisive winner Envoi Allen's season hasn't been straightforward, but no worse than last year, so he is included as a repeat of that run would be enough to get a place. Willie Mullins has a good record in this and Capodanno's stamina should come into play.

Stayers' Hurdle Placepot Tips

Unless you think Teahupoo is a certainty, the Stayers' Hurdle is yet another tricky puzzle. I'm going to try and get the favourite out of the frame with virtually everything having some sort of claim.

Crambo keeps progressing and proved his toughness at Ascot last time against Paisley Park and a break since then should be a positive before this tough contest.

Flooring Porter's chase career hasn't taken off but he wasn't far away in fourth last year after going off hard, and he can make the frame if ridden a little more conservatively.

TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase Placepot Tips

The Plate is one of the hardest races of The Festival so another two will be required. With course form and a prominent run style preferred, Il Ridoto fits the bill nicely and his mark is certainly fair after placing off similar marks three times here already this season.

The Irish have dominated this race in recent years and Saint Felicien, another prominent racer, looks to have a solid chance for Gordon Elliott in his first handicap chase with ground conditions to suit.

Mares' Novices' Hurdle Placepot Tips

Keep it simple in the Mares' Novices' Hurdle with talking horse Brighterdaysahead, who has already run to RPRs good enough to win this and should be better yet with a decent pace to aim at.
