With seven races at Chelmsford on Tuesday evening there is more quality summer racing to check out.

Racing Post tipster Robbie Wilders has had a look at the card and has come up with three selections.

Tuesday's Chelmsford Horse Racing Betting Tips and Odds

18:17 Chelmsford - Heat Of Passion @ 10/11
19:17 Chelmsford - Metro Dubai @ 11/10
20:17 Chelmsford - Top Star @
5/2

18:17 Chelmsford - Heat Of Passion @ 10/11

HEAT OF PASSION looked a typical Sir Mark Prescott project when storming to a near five-length success on her handicap debut eight days ago and will be tough to beat in the 1m2f handicap at Chelmsford.

Kirsten Rausing’s daughter of Dubawi, who is closely related to a multiple Hong Kong Group 1 winner, was a steady improver in novices over the winter before elevating her form to new heights following 174 days off the track, showing her appreciation for middle distances.

She still looked green that day, but looks the type to be operating in a much higher grade once she learns to race more professionally.

That should happen as she gains experience.

19:17 Chelmsford - Metro Dubai @ 11/10

Owner Ahmad Al Shaikh has a strong hand in the 7f novice at Chelmsford, and preference is for METRO DUBAI at the expense of his other runner, Green Icon.

Metro Dubai was an encouraging second at Leicester on his debut in June and was set a stiff task running in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot just seven days later.

He didn’t disgrace himself when ninth that day, hanging right certainly not aiding his cause, and the race has already produced four subsequent winners.

The fact he’s been given 45 days to get over those exertions looks a plus and he’ll know more this time around on his return to a more realistic level.

20:17 Chelmsford - Top Star @ 5/2

Richard Hughes is responsible for an interesting handicap debutant at Chelmsford in TOP STAR, who contests the 5f nursery off a mark of just 59.

The Starspangledbanner colt showed plenty of speed at Sandown on his debut when sent off at odds of just 10/1, Hughes eye-catchingly booking top jockey Rossa Ryan for the mount that day, but he went off a little too quickly and faded into last place.

There’s every chance he’s been campaigned with nurseries in mind since and the selection simply failed to stay 6f at Windsor on his final run to qualify for a mark.

Top Star’s dam was operating at Listed level in the height of her career and this sprinter will appreciate getting back to the minimum distance.

There should be plenty more to come and he should take some catching from stall five.
