18:30 Chelmsford - Oakley Boy @ 7/1

The Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap (18:30) could go to Oakley Boy, who rarely runs a bad race at Chelmsford and returns to the course off a mark of 1lb higher than when last successful at Newcastle.

Oakley Boy has been beaten twice since, but one of the defeats came at Kempton, a track where he had never run before, and maybe the right-handed course caught him out. While he probably found the race coming too soon when third of four, after going off 8-13 favourite, at Lingfield four days later.

Just Like Magic, who won that race, is back in against Oakley Boy here, but the selection is 4lb better off at the weights and has a good chance to reverse the form after a 34-day break since that defeat.

Oakley Boy is a course winner over 6f, but seems equally effective over 5f and has a good draw in stall three around this tight track. Everything looks right for him to bounce back to his best form.

19:30 Chelmsford - Windsor Pass @ 4/1

The Download The bet365 App Handicap (19:30) looks like a good opportunity for Windsor Pass, who has won only one of her 31 starts, but that came over course and distance and she likes it here.

The seven-year-old has run only twice at Chelmsford and both times came in her last three starts. She was a close second behind the reopposing Ravensbourne over course and distance in January before going one better here by beating Mashaan, who also runs in this race, later in that month.

Windsor Pass ran well off this 2lb higher mark when third at Southwell last month, proving that she remains in form and this rating might not be beyond her in future. There is every chance she can get back to winning ways now that she is returning to the course that seems to bring out the best in her.

20:00 Chelmsford - Miss Sunset Strip @ 16/1

The 6 Horses Challenge At bet365 Handicap (20:00) is a competitive event and Miss Sunset Strip might offer some value on her second outing since joining Lemos de Souza from Amy Murphy.

The lightly raced four-year-old made a promising debut for her new yard when finishing well for fourth at Southwell last month. She became outpaced at a crucial stage before picking up strongly inside the final half-furlong, shaping like she blew up and was in need of the outing.

That is entirely possible given it was her first run for two months and Miss Sunset Strip is a much better horse at Chelmsford than she is anywhere else. Her form figures at the Essex track read 2212, compared to 57084 away from this course. If she is going to score again it will be here.

The blinkers that she wore at Southwell last time are replaced by the cheekpieces that she wore for her sole success here and she is down 2lb in the weights. This looks like a good opportunity.
