Blackpool fell to a fifth defeat in nine games on Saturday when going down 2-0 at Bristol City and they've won just one of their last 19 in the Championship.

As a result of that torrid form, the Seasiders are 22nd and six points from safety with 10 games left to play.

They are at risk of being cut adrift sooner rather than later if results don't improve and boss Mick McCarthy will hope for a lifeline on Tuesday.

They halted a two-game winless streak on Saturday when beating Reading 1-0 on the road and now they are looking to halt a two-game winless streak at home.

The Lions have collected 36 of their 57 points on their own patch and Gary Rowett will be keen to get back on track at home to ensure they can sustain their play-off push.

Swansea are the latest visitors and they arrive on the back of a five-game winless run with four of those fixtures ending in defeat.

The Welsh outfit haven't won in four on their travels, losing three in a row without scoring, and their campaign appears to be fizzling out as they sit 11 points clear of the drop zone and 14 adrift of the top six.

Preston looking to make late push

Preston head into this round of fixtures, when they travel to Rotherham, sitting 12th and seven points shy of the play-offs after a six-game unbeaten run.

Rotherham, meanwhile, still have concerns over relegation, although those worries have been eased slightly after collecting seven points from three outings through February and March.

The Millers, who are eight points clear of the bottom three, did fall to a defeat on Saturday, going down 2-0 at Birmingham, and they tend to perform better at home with 26 of their 40 points coming at the New York Stadium.

They've won each of their last two outings when hosting but Preston arrive with the fifth-beat away record in the division.

Only four teams - Burnley, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Luton - boast more wins on the road than Preston (8).

Middlesbrough look almost certain to secure a play-off spot but they could still sneak into the automatic promotion places.

Boro are third and eight points clear of seventh-placed Norwich but Michael Carrick's side are looking up to second-placed Sheffield United, who are just four points ahead.

They have lost just one of their last eight games, winning the other seven, and the Riverside has been a fortress as Boro ride a nine-game unbeaten run with each of the last seven ending in victory.

That presents a big problem for visitors Stoke, despite the fact they've won their last two away games, when they make the trip for the 20:00 clash.

Stoke tend to struggle at the Riverside, failing to win in six and the last four editions of this fixture have ended in a Boro victory.

There's little to suggest that Carrick's men are going to ease off in the home straight and another home win appeals.
