Championship Manager of the Season: Four nominated for the award

The 2024/25 Championship Manager of the Season will come from the current top four clubs in the division after Daniel Farke, Scott Parker, Chris Wilder and Regis Le Bris were all nominated.

Kieran McKenna claimed the gong last term after orchestrating Ipswich Town's return to the top-flight and the bosses of promotion-chasing Leeds United, Burnley, Sheffield United and Sunderland make up the four-man shortlist.

With the four sides maintaining lofty league positions all season long, it comes as no surprise that they have been put forward for the award.

Leeds have managed to entertain whilst holding their grip on automatic promotion and Burnley boast a formidable defensive record, conceding just 13 goals all season.

Regis Le Bris has enjoyed a fantastic debut campaign in charge of Sunderland, transforming his side into promotion candidates.

The Black Cats finished a disappointing 16th in the league last season but have managed to maintain a high-level of performance after a flying start to the campaign.

Albeit for a patchy run of late, Chris Wilder has managed to put his Sheffield United team firmly in the mix for Premier League football next season.

The Blades still sit just five points off the lead with four games left to play in the Championship season.

Promotion candidates is also a trend reflected in the Championship Player of the Season nominees.

Burnley's James Trafford, Leeds' Daniel James and Sheffield United's Gustavo Hamer complete a three-man shortlist.

The winners will be announced at the English Football League's annual ceremony on Sunday 27th April.
