The 36 teams reaching the league phase of the UEFA Champions League found their eight opponents for the upcoming campaign on Thursday 28th August.
Last season's new format represented the biggest change to the competition since its switch from the European Cup to the UEFA Champions League more than 30 years ago.
The league phase draw took place on Thursday 28th August.
The UEFA Champions League draw took place at 5pm BST.
Pot 1 - Real Madrid, Manchester City, FC Bayern Munchen, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Inter, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Barcelona
Pot 2 - Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Atletico de Madrid, Atalanta, Juventus, Arsenal, Villarreal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Club Brugge, Benfica
Pot 3 - Tottenham Hotspur, Sporting CP, PSV Eindhoven, Ajax, Napoli, Olympiacos, Slavia Prague, Marseille, Bodo/Glimt
Pot 4 - Monaco, Galatasaray, Union Saint-Gilloise, Athletic Bilbao, Newcastle United, Pafos, Kairat, Qarabag, Copenhagen
New for last season was the league phase within the UEFA Champions League. Whereas previously, 32 teams were split into eight groups, with the four teams playing each other home and away, this season, teams will only play an opponent once, with every club having a unique fixture list.
A team will be drawn from pot 1, with two teams drawn from each pot to give them their eight opponents. Teams will continue to be drawn from pot 1 until none are left, at which point the draw will continue through the pots in descending order until all teams have eight opponents.
