Constitution Hill dismantled the field to win by nine lengths in the 2023 renewal, but injury put paid to the defence of his crown in the 2024 race as the Willie Mullins-trained State Man took the honours.
Nicky Henderson's stable star made his comeback from injury in the Christmas Hurdle on Boxing Day and retained his Kempton crown for a third successive year, resulting in his odds for the Champion Hurdle being cut from 7/4 to 1/2.
State Man remains prominent in the betting for the 2025 race while Lossiemouth, who was victorious in the Mares' Hurdle in 2024, is priced second favourite to win the Champion Hurdle after being beaten by Constitution Hill in the Christmas Hurdle.
Sir Gino has also shortened in the betting after he produced a classy performance to win the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and maintain his perfect record.
The odds for Brighterdaysahead have also tumbled recently after a sensational Morgiana Hurdle win at Punchestown.
