Celtic's fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title has been confirmed after a comprehensive 5-0 thumping of Dundee United.
The Bhoys convincing win at Tannadice opened up an insurmountable 18 point gap over Old Firm rivals Rangers to secure the local bragging rights and a fourth successive Scottish Premiership crown.
Celtic wasted no time asserting their dominance on proceedings on the Scottish east coast, racing into a three-goal lead before the end of the first half thanks in part to a brace from talismanic forward Nikolas Kuhn.
United had won their last three in a row in the Scottish top tier, but failed to provide any resistance to the defending champions as the Glasgow side eased to a 5-0 away victory to kick-off their title celebrations.
Speaking to BBC Scotland following the triumph an emphatic Brendan Rodgers said:
I am very hungry to win. We want to be the most successful team we can be. I will be here next year, 200%. I said 150% a few weeks ago. I have never been happier here.
"It's important to keep the motivation and the hunger at this stage of the season and we know what we want to achieve and what records we want to beat."
Rodgers' side moved to the brink of the title after a dominant 5-1 victory over Kilmarnock, but were denied early title celebrations after Rangers secured a late draw against Aberdeen.
The former Liverpool boss, who has now won back-to-back league titles since his return to Celtic Park in the summer of 2023, has now amassed an impressive haul of 11 trophies as Celtic boss, the third most of any manager in history behind legendary figures Jock Stein and Willie Maley.
Celtic have now been crowned champions of Scotland in 12 of the last 13 years and moved level with rivals Rangers on 55 league titles.
