We analyse the profiles and credentials of Caroline Dubois and Bo Mi Re Shin as the two get set to go head-to-head for the WBC women's lightweight title on 7th March at Royal Albert Hall, London.
On 7th March, fight fans will be treated to a historic night of women’s boxing as an all-female card takes place at the Royal Albert Hall.
Among those hoping to shine in the spotlight is Caroline Dubois, who defends her WBC lightweight title against Bo Mi Re Shin.
Dubois is a skilled operator with genuine power. She will look to showcase her talents in front of a large audience.
Shin came agonisingly close to upsetting the odds on her last visit to Europe, as she almost did enough to defeat Delfine Persoon, in Belgium. She will be aiming to go one better this time.
Who will prevail?
Let’s have a look at the tale of the tape…

As current IBF heavyweight champion, older brother, Daniel is currently receiving all the plaudits, but there is a case to be made that Caroline is the more talented of the Dubois siblings.
Many observers believe that Dubois could become the star of women’s boxing for years to come.
It is easy to see why; she has excellent timing, is a vicious combination puncher and has the power to set her apart from the crowd.
In her last fight, the Tokyo 2020 Olympian produced some of the best boxing of her professional career, dropping Jessica Camara in the opening round, before the bout was halted due to a cut.
Despite being in possession of the WBC lightweight title, defining fights have been hard to come by. ‘Sweet Caroline’ is currently in that awkward spot of being gifted, but not well known. Established names will avoid her for as long as they can.
The 24-year-old faces the biggest test of her career so far, as she takes on Bo Mi Re Shin. The South Korean may be a bit of an unknown entity on these shores, but she proved herself to be a classy operator by pushing Delfine Persoon to the limit, in 2023.
Dubois has the opportunity to make a real statement by stopping the aggressive challenger.

Bo Ri Re Shin has been brought over to Britain to lose.
She is likely aware of this fact. However, it will not bother her. She has been in this situation before.
In 2023, the South Korean travelled to Belgium to face, two-time lightweight champion, Delfine Persoon, at super-featherweight.
The fight was a classic, as both women traded punches for the 10-rounds. There is a strong case to be made that the challenger did enough to be victorious, but two of the three judges disagreed.
The power of Persoon did not faze Shin, as she took the best punches of her rival and kept coming forward.
It remains to be seen whether the 30-year-old can withstand the blows of Dubois. However, if she can, the challenger sets a relentless pace which could drag the Englishwoman into deep water.
