Carlo Ancelotti's most used players by minutes as Real Madrid manager

We take a look at Carlo Ancelotti's top 10 most used players by minutes as Real Madrid manager.

• Dani Carvajal (16,840)

Dani Carvajal has undoubtedly been one of Europe's greatest right backs in recent years, finishing fourth in the 2024 Ballon d'Or standings after winning the La Liga and UEFA Champions Laegue with Real Madrid and the EUROs with Spain.

He has played 221 times under Ancelotti over six seasons.

• Luka Modric (16,255)

Ancelotti has not been short of choice in the midfield department as Real Madrid manager, having had an array of world class players to choose from.

Arguably the greatest of them all, Luka Modric joins the list in second, having played fewer minutes than Carvajal despite making more appearances under the Italian manager.

• Karim Benzema (15,430)

Karim Benzema has a phenomenal record under Ancelotti, having scored 121 times in 187 games under him.

The French international moved on from Los Blancos in 2023, joining Al-Ittihad.

• Toni Kroos (15,045)

200 of Toni Kroos' 492 appearances in his club career came when playing under Ancelotti.

The German international retired at the end of the 2024 EUROs campaign after a phenomenal season for club and country.

• Vinicius Junior (13,979)

It is fair to say that Vinicius Junior has proved to be Ancelotti's main source of goals in more recent times at Real, finding the net on 83 occasions under the Italian.

At just 24 years old, the Brazilian forward has an incredibly bright future ahead of him, having narrowly missed out on the Ballon d'Or to Rodri in 2024.

• Federico Valverde (13,867)

The Uruguayan midfielder has offered a different dynamic to Los Blancos since his arrival, adding pace and power to a controlled Real midfield.

His versatility has been relied upon by Ancelotti, with Federico Valverde having played stints in central midfield, right midfield and even offering his services at right back.

• Rodrygo (11,588)

Rodrygo has been a huge contributor to Real Madrid's recent success under Ancelotti, netting 51 goals and assisting 35 in this period.

At just 23 years old, the Brazilian international will be looking to add to his 178 appearances under the Italian if he is to stay beyond the 2024/25 campaign.

• Thibaut Courtois (11,553)

Perhaps if it wasn't for injuries, Thibaut Courtois would be higher up the list, having missed a big chunk of the 2023/24 season.

Nonetheless, when he has been on the pitch for the 15-time UEFA Champions League winners, he has kept his team in many games, most noticeably in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, making five stops.

• Nacho Fernandez (10,789)

Nacho Fernandez was an incredible servant for the Spanish giants in his 13-year spell for the club, making 172 appearances under Ancelotti.

Having come through the Real Madrid Academy youth setup, he insisted he would not play for another club in Europe following his departure from Real Madrid. Instead, he joined Al-Qadsiah.

• Eder Militao (10,583)

Eder Militao, like Courtois, has had a tough time with injuries since his move to the capital.

However, he has still played 131 times under Ancelotti, winning two UEFA Champions League's under the Italian.
