As Welsh Rugby continues to take a dive in recent seasons, Cardiff Rugby will be hoping to buck the trend and have a successful season.
Wales' best performing side in the 2025/26 United Rugby Championship, Cardiff earned a sixth place finish against all odds to qualify for the play-offs, before ultimately losing their quarter final against the Stormers.
Despite their failure to go beyond the last eight, Cardiff offered some respite to the decline of Welsh Rugby, with the three other Wales-based sides - the Dragons, Scarlets and Ospreys - finishing 15th, 14th and 11th respectively.
