G2 Esports mid laner Rasmus "caPs" Winther believes his team need a mental reset and to work on their best-of-five game ahead of their next match in the LEC Spring Split play-offs.
In their next match in the 2022 LEC Spring Playoffs, G2 Esports are 8/11 to beat Team Vitality, who can be backed at 1/1 to win.
G2 qualified for the Spring Split play-offs in the LEC after placing fourth in the regular season standings with an 11-7 win-loss record.
Fnatic prove far too strong
However, in their first best-of-five encounter of the year, they were humbled 3-1 by Fnatic in the first round of the winners' bracket.
And now, in order to reclaim the title which they last won in 2020, G2 Esports must progress through the lower bracket of the LEC Spring play-offs.
Team Vitality got the better of Excel Esports in the first lower-bracket match and will be G2's first opponents with the winner of that game setting up a tie with Misfits Gaming.

And reflecting on their loss to Fnatic and subsequent relegation to the lower bracket, "caPs" insisted his side showed a lot of positives in the match and need to take their chances next time.
caPs calls for performance review
Speaking to Inven Global after the loss to Fnatic, "caPs" said: "There were definitely openings in the match for us to win.
"So I think the goal for the next few days is just to review those openings and make sure that we make the better play next time.
"We now have a week to practise and then we'll have a lot of best-of-fives to play -we're just going to have to be clutch in those series. It's all about resetting mentally, I think."
