Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez will return to action against William Scull this spring as he bids to re-establish himself as the undisputed super-middleweight king in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The 34-year-old was forced to surrender his IBF title last year after opting against a mandatory defence against Scull, but in a bizarre twist, he will now face the recently crowned Cuban champion for his former belt after inking a multi-fight agreement with Turki Alalshikh's Riyadh Season.

William Scull is one of the top contenders in the super-middleweight division and is currently in possession of the IBF super-middleweight title which Canelo, of course, previously held.
The unbeaten super-middleweight beat Vladimir Shishkin last October for the then vacant belt, and will now put it on the line in his first defence against the Mexican pound-for-pound king.
Canelo Alvarez v William Scull will take place in the early hours of Sunday 4th May, 2025, during Cinco de Mayo weekend.
