Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez returns to action against Jaime Munguia in May, and here's everything you need to know about the undisputed super-middleweight champion's next scheduled bout.
Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez will return to fighting action this spring in a blockbuster domestic dust-up with Jaime Munguia in Las Vegas.
Following a protracted saga to determine his next bout, a deal has finally been struck for the pair to go head-to-head in a mammoth showdown on Cinco de Mayo weekend.
Here's everything you need to know about Canelo Alvarez's next fight...
Jaime Munguia is one of the top contenders in the super-middleweight division having previously ruled the world at super-welterweight.
He beat Sergiy Derevyachenko last year and more recently overcame the tried and tested British fighter John Ryder, the same opponent that took Canelo Alvarez the full 12 round distance 12 months ago.
Canelo v Munguia will take place on Cinco de Mayo weekend, in the early hours of Sunday 5th May 2024.
The bout between Canelo and Munguia is expected to get underway at 04:30 (BST), although this is dependent upon the length of the undercard bouts.
The undisputed showdown will be screened live and exclusive on DAZN to subscribers in the UK.
Canelo Alvarez is the odds-on 1/6 favourite to make experience count in the forthcoming fight, with Munguia a 4/1 outsider.
A points success is Canelo's most likely method of victory, priced up at 8/11, whilst Munguia is available at 15/2 to prevail by the judges scorecards.
Canelo, who boasts 39 stoppages from his 60 victories, is 2/1 to overcame Munguia by KO / TKO.
