Keith Deller MBE provides his best bets for Friday night's opening Grand Slam of Darts quarter-final between tournament outsiders Cameron Menzies and Mickey Mansell.
Cameron Menzies v Mickey Mansell
Friday 15th November (19:20)
Few darts fans will have predicted Cameron Menzies and Mickey Mansell battling it out for a semi-final spot at the Grand Slam but that's exactly what we have got on Friday night.
It's been a tournament full of shocks and surprises, and it's one that has opened the door for a number of pre-tournament outsiders to get their hands on a coveted ranking TV title.
Cameron started off with a band, beating Martin Schindler in impressive fashion, before being comfortably beaten by both Danny Noppert and Beau Greaves, yet still managed to squeeze out of his group.
He took full advantage of that with a superb 10-9 win over James Wade in the last 16, and I am backing him to build-upon that once more with victory in this particular clash.
Mickey Mansell has enjoyed a great few weeks, and will be chomping at the bit to sink his teeth into a quarter-final tie on such a big stage, but this is where I feel his run ends.
It will be close though and I expect a few nerves from both players given the significance of this game, but I do envisage some quality too, especially on the scoring front - so expect that 15.5 180 threshold to be threatened.
Any match that is over a best-of-31 leg format should carry plenty of opportunities for those eye-catching three-figure checkouts, and I'd be surprised if we weren't to see four or more of those across game.
As I have mentioned, I feel this will be tight, with Menzies prevailing by a narrow margin - so I'd be looking at the prices on offer for 16-14 and 16-15 - whilst also playing the smaller odds option of over 28.5 legs.
Odds will display when markets are live.
