Burnley winger nearing €10m Serie A move

Burnley will be set for a rebuild this summer following their Premier League relegation last term, as the Clarets prepare for life back in the second tier.

Former manager Scott Parker has already departed the club, and as of yet there is no replacement confirmed in the dugout at Turf Moor.

Despite the upheaval off the pitch, recruitment work at Burnley continues behind the scenes, with several players already linked with moves, including a captain from another Championship club.

While Burnley fans will be primarily interested in learning of incomings this summer, reports have emerged linking one of their young players with a major European move during the window.

Fiorentina eye Luca Koleosho move

Italian winger Luca Koleosho joined Burnley from Espanyol three years ago and was touted as a potential star of the future.

The American born winger was just 18 years old at the time but quickly competed for a first team place, clocking up 45 appearances for the Clarets in his first two seasons.

Koleosho played 28 times during Burnley's 2024/25 promotion season but was loaned out twice last campaign, first to former club Espanyol before later joining French outfit Paris FC for the remainder of the season.

Now aged 21, it appears that Koleosho's future is away from Turf Moor, with reports in the Italian press linking him with a eight-figure move to Fiorentina.

Koleosho made his senior debut for Italy earlier this month and that appears to have sparked interest in the wide man; given his international allegiances, a move to Florence would likely appeal.

La Viola struggled last term and spent a large portion of their Serie A season battling relegation, before eventually finishing eight points clear of the drop zone in the Italian top flight.

Despite their poor form last season, Fiorentina remain a sizeable club and a move from the Championship to the Stadio Artemio Franchi will likely be tempting for the 21-year-old.

The transfer will also likely be appealing for current club Burnley, with the touted €10m fee representing a significant profit on the £2.5m they paid for his services three years ago.
