Premier League newcomers Burnley are keen to bring Taylor Harwood-Bellis back for a second spell at Turf Moor this summer.
The 23-year-old centre-back was part of the Burnley team that secured promotion from the Championship under the stewardship of former boss Vincent Kompany in the 2022/23 season.
Harwood-Bellis, who scored on his England debut against Republic of Ireland in November 2024, suffered relegation with Southampton last season and it is believed that he is keen to stay in the Premier League.
Burnley manager Scott Parker is an admirer of Harwood-Bellis and he is looking for a replacement after CJ Egan-Riley moved to Marseille at the end of his contract.
After spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Southampton from Manchester City, Harwood-Bellis joined the Saints on a permanent basis for £20million when his obligation buy to clause was triggered following the club's promotion.
Southampton would be keen to recoup the fee paid and it might be the case that Burnley will look to secure a loan with an option to buy next summer if they remain in the top-flight.
Harwood-Bellis has also attracted interest from other clubs in the top-flight this summer, with Leeds United and West Ham United both seemingly interested.
But a move back to Lancashire where he enjoyed a sensational campaign three years ago may prove to be a deciding factor for the England international.
