Burnley striker Zian Flemming is the subject of interest from Ligue 1 side Lille ahead of next week's transfer deadline.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that Lille are stepping up their interest in the player.
It is believed that Lille are optimistic that a deal will be completed before Tuesday.
The 28-year-old has become a popular figure at Turf Moor over the last couple of seasons.
He initially arrived on loan from Millwall in July 2023 and he scored 12 goals to help the Clarets win promotion from the Championship.
Flemming reached double figures in the Premier League last season but his efforts were not enough to keep Burnley in the top-flight.
After starting the new season with a brace against West Ham United, the potential departure of Flemming would leave manager Nicky Hayen with a headache from an attacking point of view.
