Odds | Borussia M’gladbach 7/5, Draw 13/5, SC Freiburg 9/5 |
Borussia Monchengladbach have been a picture of inconsistency all season in the Bundesliga and that has been evident in their last three matches.
Either side of an impressive 3-2 home win over pacesetters Bayern Munich, Gladbach lost 4-1 to Hertha Berlin and 4-0 to Mainz and their mixed bag of results this term leaves them locked in mid-table obscurity.
They are clear of relegation but unlikely to push for the European places and they are a tough team to pin down.
Freiburg, meanwhile, have been a far more consistent outfit, avoiding defeat in 17 of their 22 Bundesliga matches and they can pick up at least a point from their clash at Borussia-Park.
The Black Forest club wobbled a little at the start of the year but have put together a four-match unbeaten run with forward Vincenzo Grifo having looked back to his best, scoring three times in their last three matches. He could be a cracking first goalscorer option at 9/1.
What | Mainz v Hoffenheim |
Where | Mewa Arena |
When | 14.30, Saturday 4th March 2023 |
How to watch | European Soccer Live Streaming Highlights |
Odds | Mainz 10/11, Draw 13/5, TSG Hoffenheim 3/1 |
Mainz are going well in this season's Bundesliga, having crept into contention for a top-six berth recently, but they took things to the next level with a 4-0 thrashing of Borussia Monchengladbach last time out.
Their attacking trident of Lee Jae-Sung, Marcus Ingvartsen and Ludovic Ajorque clicked into gear in that contest and the win was made all the more impressive by the fact club top scorer Karim Oniswio was sidelined.
Mainz have now won four of their last five matches, scoring at least three times in each of those wins to fly up the Bundesliga standings.
At the opposite end of the form table are Hoffenheim, who have not improved a lot since appointing Pellegrino Matarazzo and are without a win in their last 13 matches in all competitions.
They put up a bit of a fight in a 1-0 loss at home to Borussia Dortmund last time out, but they look short of confidence and cannot match Mainz for attacking prowess right now, so this looks like a straightforward home win.

What | Union Berlin v Cologne |
Where | Stadion An der Alten Försterei |
When | 14.30, Saturday 4th March 2023 |
How to watch | European Soccer Live Streaming Highlights |
Odds | Union Berlin 10/11, Draw 12/5, Cologne 10/3 |
Union Berlin slipped up in the Bundesliga title race last time out, losing 3-0 away to Bayern Munich, but they are still only three points adrift of the top two and can recover with a win over Cologne.
Urs Fischer may be unsure of his best attacking combination - Jordan Pefok and Sheraldo Becker have underperformed recently - but the club are still enjoying a fairytale campaign and it would be a bold move to oppose them in this fixture.
Union are one of only two Bundesliga clubs not to have lost at home in the league this season and the visiting Billy Goats have struggled for consistency.
Last month they pulled off a huge result with a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt but have since slipped to defeats against Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, failing to score in both of those losses, and they should be opposed.
What | Stuttgart v Bayern Munich |
Where | Mercedes-Benz Arena |
When | 17.30, Saturday 4th March 2023 |
How to watch | European Soccer Live Streaming Highlights & Sky Sports Football |
Odds | VfB Stuttgart 6/1, Draw 17/4, Bayern Munich 2/5 |
Bayern Munich took the initiative at the Bundesliga summit with their 3-0 win over Union Berlin last Sunday and they can ensure they finish the weekend on top with another win on the road at Stuttgart.
The Bavarians could hand star man Sadio Mane his first start since November in this match and look appropriately priced at 2/5 to record their sixth win in seven matches.
Opponents Stuttgart gave their fans hope with a 3-0 humbling of Cologne last month, but the gloss was swiftly taken off that win as they lost their following game 2-1 against basement boys Schalke.
They have lost four of their last five matches in the Bundesliga and conceded two goals in each of those defeats.
Flying full-back and creative outlet Borna Sosa is suspended for this match, which is a massive blow, while Stuttgart are also set to be without injured trio Serhou Guirassy, Florian Muller and Pascal Stenzel.
The hosts are likely to be out of their depth in this one and punters should look at backing Bayern Munich at -1 on the goal handicap at 1/1, whereby the visitors need to win by two or more goals for the bet to come in.
