Bryson DeChambeau is the best-backed player with bet365 ahead of the 2025 US Open at Oakmont.
bet365's Steve Freeth said: "There's not been much love for Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy this week, as punters look to take on the multiple Major winners.
"World No.1 Scheffler’s odds may be too short, given some concerns over his putting at Oakmont, while Rory’s form has understandably declined turned since completing the Grand Slam.
"In contrast, our customers clearly aren’t put off by the new irons in Bryson DeChambeau’s bag, with the 2024 US Open winner being backed to go back-to-back.
"Ludvig Aberg looks attractively priced with 8% of stakes being placed on the Swede, who many believe is a Major winner in waiting."
Finding fairways at Oakmont this week will be of paramount importance for anyone with ambitions of winning the US Open and it's been the part of the game McIlroy has struggled with the most this season.
Since his win at Pebble Beach, McIlroy has been below average in driving accuracy in every event and has been driving it off the planet in recent weeks. Although Oakmont will likely force many players including McIlroy to leave driver in the bag on a number of holes, the Northern Irishman must improve in that aspect.
While Scheffler has quickly wrested back the crown of the world's best player from McIlroy, his price has been deemed too short by most punters, with only 5% of money being placed on the recently crowned PGA Championship winner.
