The British & Irish Lions recovered from a blundering start to deliver a clinical second half performance and prevail 52-12 against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane.
Two tries from Tommy Freeman and another six tries courtesy of Andrew Porter, Duhan van der Merwe, Maro Itoje, Jac Morgan, Huw Jones and Garry Ringrose ensured Andy Farrell's team overcame a worrying opening quarter to pull away from the Reds by accumulating 45 unanswered points after initially falling behind 12-7 in the contest.
The Lions' pace, intensity and experience eventually overawed the Reds, who provided a great account for themselves in the early stages and made the contest difficult for the visitors.
Despite the abundance of positives, there was some concern for the Lions in the aftermath of their success as fullback Elliott Daly was forced to withdraw in the latter stages with an arm injury.
The Lions captain made his first appearance of the tour against Queensland Reds and led brilliantly.
The lock carried well and was physical both going forward and in defence, he was also a nuisance in the lineout, consistently disrupting the Queensland ball.
Itoje grabbed his first try for the Lions and was a contender for Player of the Match.
The mercurial Scotsman was the sole survivor from the XV that started on Saturday against the Western Force.
He was in fine form in both contests, cementing his place as the number one fly-half for Andy Farrell's side.
There were slight concerns, however, after her was seen with ice on his wrist after being substituted in the 50th minute.
The only remaining Welshman on the tour, the Dragons' captain Jac Morgan was excellent throughout the contest.
Deservedly awarded Player of the Match for his performance, Morgan made three turnovers and scored a try of his own, picking a great line to do so.
Following Henry Pollock's strong performances, the two young back rowers are giving Andy Farrell a welcomed selection headache.
Will Stuart looked out of his depth against the Reds, which will be a concern for head coach Farrell.
Despite already being second choice to Ireland's Furlong, Stuart will have done his test hopes no help following his performance in this match.
In total, Stuart gave away three penalties before being hooked at 50 minutes.
Another front row struggler, Ronan Kelleher struggled to get into the game from minute one.
Handling errors were a theme of this match, and Kelleher was more guilty than anyone.
The lineouts were never smooth whilst he was on the field, and he didn't make many metres with the ball in hand.
Already behind Sheehan and Cowan-Dickie, it will be unlikely that Kelleher makes the Lions squad for the Australia tests as things stand.
The most surprising under-performer of the tour so far, Duhan van der Merwe looked a shell of himself despite picking up a first half try.
Not chosen against the Western Force on Saturday, Van der Merwe was outshone by right winger Tommy Freeman against the Reds, not to mention Mack Hansen and James Lowe's impressive performances against the Western Force.
The Saffa turned Scot will need to improve his performances going forward on this tour, or risk slipping down the pecking order for the tests against Australia.
