Brighton team news and starting line-up for Jablonec Conference League clash

Brighton will be looking to make it back-to-back Conference League victories when facing Jablonec on Thursday night.

It's safe to say that the Seagulls are in dreamland as they prepare for their first away game of the 2026/27 Conference League season.

Not only did Brighton make a winning European start last week -- overcoming FK Kauno Žalgiris in emphatic 4-0 fashion -- they're flying in the Premier League too, sat third in the standings behind last season's top two, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Fabian Hurzeler's side recorded a historic 5-0 victory over rivals Crystal Palace last time out -- marking their biggest win over the Eagles in 70 years -- and, remarkably, the five goals scored at the Amex means that only three sides in Premier League history have found the net on more occasions in their first seven games of a season than Brighton’s 23.

Tonight's opponents -- Jablonec -- were competitive in a 3-2 defeat against Bundesliga outfit Freiburg last week, but keeping an in form Brighton side at bay is likely to prove an incredibly difficult task.

As expected, Brighton manager Hurzeler has made wholesale changes to the side that defeated Palace last time out, with this weekend's Premier League clash against Liverpool likely prominent in his thinking.

Luka Vuskovic, Chema Andres and Maxim De Cuyper are amongst those rested, while Georginio Rutter, Jack Hinshelwood and Malick Yalcouye are handed starts after being used from the bench at the weekend.

While Hurzeler has the depth to rotate, he is without a number of players due to injury.

Pascal Struijk remains sidelined due to a minor issue, while midfielder-turned-right-back Mats Wieffer misses out due to a knee injury.

In the front line, Brighton are still without Evan Ferguson, Femi Azeez, Kaoru Mitoma, Stefanos Tzimas and Yankuba Minteh.
