England international Ivan Toney is expected to play some part in the encounter though after reporting back for training earlier this week following his exploits for the Three Lions at Euro 2024.
Joachim Maehle was forced off in the friendly draw with Como and isn't likely to be risked so close to the start of the Bundesliga season, although the likes of Mohamed Amoura, Kilian Fischer, David Odogu, Mattias Svanberg, Aster Vranckx and Tiago Tomas should feature.
Summer acquisition Kamil Grabara, a €13m arrival from Copenhagen, is set to start in goal however, with Jonas Wind, last season's top scorer with 12 goals, expected to lead the line.
