After a far more turbulent campaign than Brentford fans have been used to last time out, those of a Bees persuasion will be hoping for a more productive 2024/25 season.

Thomas Frank's men succumbed to a 16th place finish last time out, seven places and 20 points worse off than the campaign previous, where the Londoners were knocking on the door of a European spot.

They have already been dealt a monumental blow this term too, with big money acquisition Igor Thiago - the potential replacement for star striker Ivan Toney - sustaining an untimely meniscus injury, ending the Brazilian's maiden campaign in English football before it even began.

But despite that, and Toney's Gtech Community Stadium future remaining uncertain, there are fresh hopes that Frank can galvanise his troops and re-discover the same magic that made them one of the most entertaining and profitable teams just a couple of seasons ago.
