Brazil Copa America Odds: Canarinha 9/4 to lift 10th title

Beaten on their own patch by Argentina in the 2021 Copa America final, Brazil have something to prove in this summer’s tournament and their contingent of Real Madrid stars are likely to determine whether they can go all the way in the United States.

Off the back of yet another trophy-laden season where Carlo Ancelotti’s outfit basked in the glory of a Champions League and La Liga double, Ballon d’Or favourite Vinicius Junior will be the man tasked at conducting Brazil’s quest for glory.

He will be supplemented by a colleague he knows all too well at the Santiago Bernabeu, Rodrygo, and potentially forming the attacking trio is the electrifying prodigy Endrick, who completes his switch to the Spanish capital next month.

Not to forget the Galactico influence in defence, as well. Eder Militao, who’s made a seamless return from an ACL injury he sustained in August 2023, will be pivotal to Dorival Junior’s plans.

The Seleção are second favourites at 9/4 to win a 10th Copa America title and, if the draw was to unfold as the market suggests, they will reacquaint themselves with Argentina in the competition’s showpiece in Miami.

Brazil's Ballon d'Or contender

With Lionel Messi in the MLS and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, we’ve experienced a changing of guard with the elite players in world football.

At the forefront is Real Madrid’s latest prized capture, Kylian Mbappe. Jude Bellingham, who defied all expectations during his first season with Los Blancos, has watched his stock rise exponentially following a tremendous individual season.

Then there is Vinicius Junior. Scorer of the goal that sealed Real Madrid’s 15th European crown, the boisterous Brazilian is a prime example of the phenomenal flair and technique that futsal on the streets of Rio de Janeiro can conjure.

Arguably overlooked in the world’s best debate, Vinicius Jr showcased this season a match-winning capability that had elevated Messi and Ronaldo above everyone else in the years prior. At a time when everyone is judged on statistics, Vinicius Jr serves a timely reminder to appreciate the aesthetics of our beautiful game.

Modern football has been consumed by choreographed attacking sequences, but Vinicius Jr has flourished in a system where Ancelotti demands his creative sparks to improvise and express themselves.

The 23-year-old has always caught the eye with an abundance of flicks and tricks, but his all-round game has improved substantially under the Italian’s tutelage and there is no sign of his development decelerating.

With Neymar now out of the picture, Vinicius Jr has the opportunity to solidify his position as Brazil’s main man.

Not that it will faze him. This is a young man who has tackled racial abuse head on, determined to make a societal difference in the country he now resides.

If Vinicius Jr is to inspire Brazil to Copa America success, you can be sure that his odds of 2/5 to win the Ballon d’Or will shorten further.

Rodrygo to make a statement

To preserve your place in a team of Real Madrid’s stature requires a player of exceptional skill and supreme temperament.

Rodrygo has been a Los Blancos starter for three consecutive seasons and despite signing a long-term contract extension as recently as November 2023, there is growing speculation on whether his future lies away from the Spanish capital.

The arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick will likely limit the forward’s playing time and Rodrygo is understood to have angered Real Madrid supporters in an interview with DAZN, where he outlined Manchester City as the “best team in the world”.

We have a transfer special on site for Rodrygo, who is 1/10 to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu beyond September, with Man City next in the betting at 6/1.

Ahead of Copa America, Rodrygo will be keen to block out the noise.

He will wear the iconic No.10 shirt at the tournament, joining an illustrious group that includes Pele, Zico and Ronaldinho to have donned the famous gold and green jersey.

A return of 26 goal contributions across the 2023/24 campaign from a right-sided forward position he doesn’t particularly enjoy is evidence of his talent.

Preferred in a central role by Dorival Jr, Rodrygo will look to be the difference-maker for Brazil.

The world’s newest superstar

Endrick announced himself to the global stage with a late winning goal for Brazil against England at Wembley Stadium in March.

If you hadn’t heard of him before then, you most definitely do now.

Purchased by Real Madrid for a fee of €45million – which could rise to €60m with various add-ons – the 17-year-old has already drew comparisons with the great Pele, though Dorival Jr is keen to wrap up Brazilian’s latest prodigy in bubble wrap.

Not that it will deflect all of the eyes that will be cast on Endrick this summer; being a Real Madrid players comes with a surreal amount of exposure.

For an individual of his age, Endrick’s composure and confidence stands out above all else. The Palmeiras product flaunts excellent dribbling technique which, accompanied with his speed and agility, make him a difficult component to shut down.

Endrick’s versatility also make him a valuable asset to Dorival Jr, with the teenager capable of playing across the front three. He’s proven his ability to make timely contributions from the substitute’s bench, striking deep in injury time to snatch victory in a warm-up match against Mexico.

He’s an incredibly exciting prospect and certainly one to keep an eye on as the tournament progresses.

He is one of the great jewels that we have seen in the last15 years, but you have to take care of him.
