Getting to know... Natasha Jonas

We sat down with the unified world champ to discuss her boxing inspirations and accomplishments in the sport...

Who are your favourite fighters of all time that have inspired you?

Manny Pacquiao because of the influence he has outside of the ring. Fight style wise I would say Errol Spence Jr. and Lomachenko.

What has been your favourite fight in your career so far?

Namus - a world title finally. It was a huge occasion and a big fight, I needed a performance to match.

What would you say is your best attribute in boxing?

Accuracy

Do you have have any interesting pre-fight rituals/ superstitions?

I shave my legs the day before.

What is your ultimate goal in boxing?

Be the best - P4P No.1.

Jonas won her first world title against Chris Namus in February 2022, securing victory via TKO in the second round at the AO Arena in Manchester.

'Miss GB' also gave us an exclusive insight into her interests outside of boxing...

I love all types of music, but I'm especially into Wizkid and Koffee at the minute.

What is your favourite food?

I love ice cream, but as a meal I'd say chilli.

What is your favourite film?

Too many to choose from and it depends on my mood. Collectively it would be Disney cartoons though, I'm a big kid.

Favourite holiday destination?

That I've been to - Thailand or China. Where I want to go - Ghana or Cuba.

Favourite TV series?

Right now it's Wednesday, but overall I'd say Law and Order.

Favourite sportsperson outside of boxing?

Tanni Grey Thompson - she was the first athlete who made me take an interest in the Paralympics. She was very successful and now stands in Parliament helping to change lives for people like herself.
