There are four officially recognised governing bodies in boxing, the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO – all of which carry their own titles in every weight division.
The Ring title, the fifth available strap, is awarded by the prestigious American boxing magazine, The Ring, and has been done so for over a century, since its formation in 1922.
Boxers often move up and down the varying weight classes throughout their careers, with numerous fighters establishing themselves as multi-weight world champions.
The great Manny Pacquiao boasts the record for titles across the most weight classes, having established himself as world champion in eight divisions.
